Get trained and certified in the Couple–Centered Recovery® Model

Clinicians, coaches, and clergy are invited to be trained in this powerful model for working with couples after the discovery of betrayal.

The training, a hybrid of self-paced online learning and live teaching, is organized through two levels of instructions and then a certification process. Please read all the requirements for each level thoroughly below.

Become a Certified Couple–Centered Recovery® Practitioner

Those who desire to be trained in the Couple–Centered Recovery® Model can now achieve this goal through our more accessible hybrid model, outlined below.

Level 1 Training – Foundations of Couple–Centered Recovery®

Open to clinicians, coaches, and clergy, Level 1 provides foundational training in the CCR model. This hybrid course includes 8+ hours of self-paced online video lessons, introducing key concepts such as the model’s philosophical foundations, essential principles for working with couples after betrayal, and the core interventions used to rebuild safety, trust, and emotional connection. After completing the online material, participants attend a live 5-hour Zoom workshop, focused on real-world application and interactive practice. Completion of both components is required to finish Level 1.

Level 2 Training – Advanced Application & Transformation

Designed for clinicians and coaches who work with—or desire to work with—couples healing from betrayal trauma, Level 2 builds on the foundational training. This hybrid training includes 20+ hours of advanced online content covering the neurobiology of trauma and attachment, creating safety post-discovery, the disclosure process, grief integration, and relational transformation. Participants also attend a 9-hour live Zoom training (spread over two days) to deepen understanding and enhance practical skills.

Certification Pathway

Professionals seeking full certification as a Couple–Centered Recovery® Practitioner (Coach or Clinician) will complete an additional 23 hours of advanced instruction, participate in a supervised Disclosure Intensive at Daring Ventures in Houston, Texas, and engage in 12 hours of case consultation (35 hours total). Certification candidates must join as part of a team of at least three people, including at least one licensed clinician. Availability is limited due to the depth and intensity of instruction at this level.

Clinicians interested in receiving continue education credits for this training may request documentation of hours. CEs will be award by Kairos University, a regionally-accredited institution of higher education. Each individual is responsible for ensuring their licensing board will accept these credits.
